Gaydar

What a crock of shit

At the onset I just have to say that Im about to vent here. ...

On the internet there is a site called Gaydar.

Gaydar is a term used by us gay bois meaning like a radar but its gaydar when we can spot someone who is gay. It's like a sixth sense we have.

Anyhow this site has peoples profiles on it. Meaning you can write about yourself and have pictures of yourself and other people can send you messages. It's like an online beat.

Now ive used gaydar in the past. Ive sat searching through the many many profiles of people in my area and throughout the world. Ive had a profile and Ive experimented with it. What Ive found is that if your true about yourself you dont get a response. What happens is if you create a profile with pictures of your body and about sex then you get a response. I show em my bosy I get a response, I show em about me and I dont get a response, they arent interested in you as a person only you as a penis.

This is fucked!

Now im sure there are people who use it that arent like that, but Ive yet to come across anyone that is.

Now Im wondering about whats happening in the gay community. Where are the people who are genuine, honest interested in intimacy and arent only going to meet up with you for a fuck? Where are you?

So gaydar. ... and everyone on it.. you can go fuck yourself.

(sorry people I had to vent).

How ironic... I was on the phone to me best pal last night and he was compaining about the same site (gaydar.co.uk - is that the one that you mean?). Anyway, he was saying that he felt really sad using it. And though he was succesfully getting laid thanks to the site he felt cheap and nasty (but I think that this is more a change in his attitude towards casual sex than because of the internet).

Anyhop, he's like most people in thinking that any socialising done on the internet is a poor second to socialising in the real world and its making him feel really lonely that things have got so bad that he has to resort to 'virtual dating'. I can't help but see his point, especially when the closest I get to a good rant with friends these days is typing a blog rather than sharing a coffee!

Hey Dune.. yeah its the same one.. we have in Oz gaydar.com.au..but its the same site.

Yeah I dont so much feel sad just think how some people are really superficial and dont want to get to know me for me but me for my dick.

I see it as a valid way for meeting people... just think alot of people think they can hide behind the net ..and they seem to loose their sense of values.

I can't help but see his point, especially when the closest I get to a good rant with friends these days is typing a blog rather than sharing a coffee!

Whats happened to our society that we have done this?

Thanks for commenting Dune..

Surely there's people on the site who are looking for more than just sex? Admittedly my mates on it purely for cock, or so he says, but I know fine well that if sex blossomed into something more he'd be over the moon. Btw. have you met up with any of the people that you've met on the site?
