I tried to but AP in stores...failed (txt)

I went to gamestop(ebgames only says it will carry dluxe on the 30th) to try to find a copy of galciv:AP. They don't have it, they don't know when they'll get it and they sounded like they haven't heard of galciv before. They called 2 other stores but they didn't have it either. Online status shows no gamstop anywhere has it.

For an expansion to a game that got pretty darn good reviews, isn't this very, very bad? I mean your game isn't sold in stores! And this is the time where lots of people buy christmas gifts, everyday your game is not sold on stores is a lot of money lost. Yeah, sure you can buy online and I'm sure everyone is saying buying online and downloading right away is the way to go...but it is too much to ask for people who don't want credit cards yet or don't want to give out credit information over the internet(where credit card information is stolen way more than you think) to buy one copy of this game?

Not seeing this game in stores 2 weeks after it has been shipped makes me worry. Shouldn't this be a major shipping error? Shouldn't you tell us where we can buy this game in stores if at all?

Just trying to give you guys my $19.99 + tax

Buy it direct from the site and pay with a credit card and download it. Save shipping charges.

And, as an added bonus, all the money goes to Stardock when you buy it that way. But it retail and some of the money goes to the store, some of it goes to the publisher, and Strategy First pays Stardock a tiny fraction of it when they feel like it.

If you don't have a credit card there's an order form that you can use by mail. http://www.stardock.com/order.txt If you're worried about using the credit card online, remember that you should be just as worried using it at a restaraunt, where you have to let the card out of your sight. You're at risk any time someone other than you has a chance to get a good look at your card. I've been using credit cards online for years and I've never had a problem. And one of the great things about credit cards is that if someone does get the information and buy a bunch of stuff, the credit card companies don't hold you liable for any of the money they spend.

I emailed Strategy First asking them who was going to carry the new versions retail and when it would be available. They didn't even have the courtesy to reply. Buy direct from Stardock.

Yeah the only reason your not finding it is due to the publisher Strategy First not coming through with the shipping orders. Not Stardocks fault at all purchase directly through Stardock your best bet.

I STRONGLY suggest and advise to purchase a subscription to Totalgaming.net instead. Not only will you get the full version of AP, you will get the beta patches, all other games in the TGN database (10+ games right now) and the best part you will be part of the Beta tester team for Galciv2.
