metaverse scores not posting?

I finished a game a couple days ago and the score still hasn't shown up on the metaverse. Is this happening to anyone else or just me? :sniff!:

vince: I see a score from 3/30 under your name. Is that the one you're referring to?

Kyle: you somehow have an email addy as your metaverse addy. You might try using [email protected] as your submission alias (not just email). If that doesn't work, go to the Metaverse section and change it to something without punctuation in it; it may not handle special characters.

juice99: no clue.

Keep in mind that the metaverse was broken for some people until a few patches ago. Make sure you have the latest version from StardockCentral.

I have posted several results and seen none come up yet - any hints on what I am doing wrong?

I just finished my first win, and the score straight shows up on the metaverse. Do you guys use your registered aliasses?

No, that was my very first game... I've completed 2 games since then and neither of those scores have showed up...

So I was able to post a score once, but then never again since...

I changed my alias from Skinner+ to Chris Skinner and updated to the latest patch and it finally loaded my score. So ui think geo was right when it said it might not take unusual characters. I tried it with the patch as Skinner+ and it wouldn't take. I then changed it to Chris Skinner and having the patch installed already it loaded fine.

ALL scores can be viewed. When you enter the Metaverse at the bottom you will see "1-10, next". If you click on 10, the page reloads and then the bottom will show "11-20, next". And so on.

Ucla, this is what it shows in the metaverse.

Player Name: ucla_vince
Player ID: 1481
Score: 97
Metaverse Ranking: 635

(partly, I deleted some lines to protect your privacy)

This is apparently your first game. The upload worked then. Have you changed anything after this upload? Email address, nickname?

Kyle: go to the Metaverse section and re-register yourself. Later registrations overwrite earlier ones. The nickname you give in Metaverse registration corresponds to the alias you should supply when submitting your scores.

vince: actually, I don't know that it -can't- handle punctuation. It obviously took your score once, so underscores seem to be OK. I made that suggestion so as to reduce things to the simplest possible case.

OK.. I'm having a brain failure. I can't figure out how to submit my scores to the Metaverse. My player name is the same as my account (Doctor Zero).

Does it upload automatically? I don't see any of my games. I don't see an option anywhere to submit my scores. :sniff!:

I've tried to upload my score (first game) but no luck. Alias: Doctor Bob. Can you check?

Wait... I just got the submit screen. Which I never got after the first two games I won. That's really strange.

DZ: it has to recognize that you're connected to the net. Were you online the last two times?

Robert: you should email GalCiv's customer support if you continue to see a problem; they might swing through here, but I'm just a customer playing Good Samaritan. :) Assuming you're using the same name as your "submission alias", are you patched to current? Early 1.01s had a problem where the serial number wasn't sent correctly.
