AP features.

Hey can anyone anwser my questions please:
1) Are the new ships in AP very cool, because from its description I got the feeling that they are a big add on to the game and I havn't built any yet.
2) How do you change the class that the planet is in the AP mapeditor?
Thanks for any help!

Answer to #1:

Paladin-helps heal all friendly ships in the same sector (must have good morality)

Vampire-Takes hitpoints from ships it battles (must have evil morality)

Sovereign-Assists in the defense of all ships in the same sector(good)

Wraith-Undermines the defense of foreign ships in the same sector(evil)

#2: The map editor needs to be full screen in order to see the entire the right side of the star system editting menu. When at full screen, look at the very bottom right, there is a box labeled "Quality". After you "add planet", type in the quality number you want in the "quality" box. Then click on the planet and it changes to that quality number.

If you add a second planet, the planet quality will match the first planet's quality to start. To change it, click on the second planet icon, and after it is highlighted, type in the new quaility # in the box.

Repeat process for third, fourth, etc planets.

I hope this helps!

I just got around to playing AP properly, and am now using/encountering the new ships. Those goody two shoes Sovereigns are kicking my teeth in. :sniff!:

AP does add alot to the game, two more major races makes quite a difference to the larger maps. And it does feel like going good or evil has an impact now.

Moser the Alchemist great explanation. Interested in being part of my staff? You are good. :D

John AP rocks without a doubt. I am sure you have discovered that already. ;) Adding my two cents and there was no change needed. :sniff!: :D (silly it is early leave me alone. LOL)

Mention how the editor functions once you do. I hear little stories about not being able to load maps after you create them. The circumstances I am not clear on. I plan to work on a map for a future scenario I want to do using Star Trek Mod as a base. :)

I'll do that dessert fox, but what do you mean by "not being able to load maps after" ?
