AP Campaign: Scenario 3

Hey, I am trying the campaign for the first time. The scenario info says the Korx homeworld is guarded by 3 Battleships.

Battleships?!? Even on Cakewalk? If they're actually Battleships, I'm dead in the water. Takes WAY too long to research that level of combat tech.

No, Arcalian, its actually pretty easy, or at least it was for me and I was playing on simple level. Here's what I did: Basicly the Korx attacked the Altarians with their battleships, and I just snuck around and took their homeworld. Simple as eating cake, even on cakewalk level! LOL :D LOL :D But thats what I did you might find a better way; good luck!

during my game I got up to frigates fast and sent in 5 frigates with 5 or 6 transports. Ignored the battleships and took the planet.

'twas easy for me too - at challenging level.

The scenario with the Torians (Mission 6) is puzzling me though.

The victory condition is to "eliminate the Torians from the quadrants", but it is suggest to have a cultural domination.
And in any case they will declared war to me, no matter how I tried to trade (btw, not having freighter does not help).

Any suggestion?

I am pretty sure that I just went to war with them. It took a bit longer but I eventually invaded and beat them.

Thanks all for earlier help, and yes, the Torian one pissed me off; cultural dominance is my favorite path and no matter what I did I couldn't do it in this scenario. So I wound up killing them. Oh well.

I did the same in the weekend. Not that tough.

Next step is Korx&Drath... a large map... need to rush for the 5 systems in the middle I guess.
