Switching Computers

Hey everyone, my family and I are getting a new computer, and I wanted to know if this procedure I was planing on doing will work ok for putting galciv on it: 1) Finish all games on the old computer, (this one) and uninstall the game. 2) Set up the new computer and install the game back on the new one. 3) And then download and istall all the mods from this website again that I had before. :sniff!: I think all this will work, but I had one very very important question:---- Will my old acount still work if I change computers, and will I need to do anything to get it to work the same as it did on this computer? (My metaverse acount, submitting games etc.)

From a metaverse point a view, the only important things are:
- your serial
- your e-mail
- the player you use when submitting

The computer you are using has no importance.

So when I install it on the new computer I just need to put the serial number in again and use the same email and alias and it should work?

You also forgot that you have to switch from GROSS to an active empire.

I burned a cd with my Gal Civ folder and then moved it from the cd to the new computer's hard drive. No installs or mod downloads as it went in one shot. I may be forgetting something but how would I know. :)

John, everyone would be glad to have you join their empire. If you are not happy with the empire you are in now please find one that will make you happy.

As a member of the Foundation I extend an invatation to you to join us. But, having said that please look to all of the empires and find one that feels right to you. If you choose the Foundation that would be nice.

Have a nice day and feel free to drop into the Foundation thread in the empire forum for a chat anytime whether you join us or not.

Thanks Newfy, I'll think about it and get back to you later when I've decided. I do have one question though: I know you guys play for fun and all, but you did start the foundation because you wanted a more active empire. So here's my point; will I be active enough for you guys if I try and get a game in at least once in a three weed period? I havn't been able to play much, you know with school and all, but that's my question and I'll think about your offer! :)

In a post above you said "in a 3 weed period" you meant to say "in a 3 week period". :SURPRISED:

Krazyhorse has several posts in our forum talking about smoking his pipe with the sacred weed. ;)
