My oldest sister went into labor at 7.30am this morning... I dont know much more than that... My friends mum works as a nurse at the hospital she is at, so we found out the baby should be popping out very very soon!!!!

I am so excited!!!

Nephews and Nieces will do anything for a chocolate bar!!! I can't wait to have them stick their middle finger up at drivers in bad traffic!!! When adults do it, it's road rage... when kids do it, it's funny and cute!!!

I digress... I am now the proud uncle of a baby girl!!! I will tell you her name when I find out!!! I am leaving work now!!!

I am glowing with pride here!!!

I just got home from the hostpital... Alexandra Isobel... I was happy with my sister... thats a beautiful name I thought... I can call the baby Lexi thats a cool nickname...

The labor was only 5 hours , she is actually 3 weeks pre-mature!!! she is ever so tiny... and I have to say, I have never felt so protective over anything in my whole life...

Being an uncle is awesome, I am so chuffed... and I didn't even have to do anything!!!

I think there are going to be fun times ahead in little Alexandra's liffe if I have anything to do with it! I love her so much already!!!

Awww I'm so pleased for you, what a beautiful name! I hope both Mother and Baby are doing ok! How much did she weigh? Does she have lots of hair? Awww babies are so adorable!

Conrats Muggaz! And your'e right, kids get away with stuff that adults can't. Just this weekend past, my nephew was lying ontop of my bf. when he sat up all of a sudden, prodded b.f. and asked 'do you have a baby in there'... HA HA HA! Beer gut! I was on the floor laughing for ages, especially when my niece joined in and quite innocently proclaimed 'he doesn't have a belly button, he's got a big line' - WAHOO! Peels of laughter from his loving girlfriend (still convulsing on the floor).

Crm, crm, but anyway - congrats again and here's to all those little awkward comments that the little angels make!

That is a beautiful name! This is your first niece? How very exciting.

I'm sure you've read my articles including my Uncle Matt, the most precious person to me in my life. I hope you're that for Alexandra; I know you have the ability.

She weighed just over 5 lbs... something like 2.6 kgs... she is ever so tiny!!!

She has gingery tipe hair, and it's a little but curly... she is my brother in laws daughter... she doesn't have our family chin... such a cutie none the less...

Trin, any relation to me will end up being different!!! I cant wait to watch her develop into a fine young lady indeed!!!

I cant explain how chuffed I am!!! not long till my other sister has one either!!! this time its going to be a nephew!!!

5lbs... that is seriously mini! she must be adorable! treat them well: feed them lotsa lollies and throw them around in the swimming pool, that's what uncles are for!!

Isn't it funny how proud you feel about your sibling's child?  I know exactly how you feel.  My niece was/is a teeny little thing.  I got to be the first person she ever pooped on   I have her on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the Summer and love it.  I don't have a girl of my own and she is the only cousin my boys have.  She is very special to me as I am sure Alexandra is and always will be to you.


They are so much fun!
