check the research > Fleet logistics section

its quite expensive, also your second cap ship will cost 3000/400/250 so think of that in advance.

I really wanted to say RTFM, but that would be rude. It's in the PDF or paper manual if you got the CD version.

Rudeness is IMO completely excusable when someone asks a question that could be easily answered in the manual or a few seconds on Google.

I mean the first hit on Google if you search for "sins more capital crews" answers this question.

Rudeness is never excusable.

I am generally a big fan of RTFM, and I think this question is answered there somewhere. However, I am hesitant to be quite so rude to newbies with quesions on a Stardock product. Whether as publisher (Sins) or developer (GalCiv2) a common thread runs through the products: great games, incredibly pro-customer attitude, unmatched dedication to continual development and improvement of the game, BUT a high learning curve coupled with terribly incomplete manuals, inadequate tutorials, and unpolished ingame information. I am willing to forgive Stardock much because of the good things (and the probable small size of their budget compared to their quality competitors), but the poor documentation cannot be denied and hinders newbies. They are not exactly Firaxis in presenting polished manuals and ingame documention (Civ 4 took some postrelease patching to the Civolopedia, but is probably the gold standard in this regard).

rudeness should be defined as taking the time to "crap" on some noob instead of answering his simple question-- sheesh, lighten up already-- Regards, shadow

couldn't have said it better myself Marlowe-- well done-- Regards, shadow

I also agree that rudeness is just wrong. The only dumb question is an unasked question. When I first downloaded SOASE I could not find a manual. Not sure if it was a glitch or what. But when I updated to 1.02 the pdf manual showed up on the start menu. Anyway what I'm saying is we need to work together to promote this great game and quit the rude stuff. This is one of the most intense games I've ever played and the learning curve is huge. So helping us newbie's navigate our way thru some of the game aspects will only improve the whole experience for all involved.

I downloaded this game via digital download and didn't realise I actually had a manual because it's stashed away in the directory for the game with no obvious indications that it exists.

This is a new game and in many respects, we're all still noobs. If we can't stick together and help each other out then there is no hope for this community and it will have a direct knock on effect to the game.

So please, go easy on people asking "dumb" questions because whilst the answer might seem obvious to you, it doesn't to everyone.

yes, I'm a noob too playing only 2 games so far in single player and I must say, the complete vastness of everything is pretty overwhelming. I have a fair grip on things since I played many RTS before, but the technology trees, while I understand them, can still be hard to use efficiently for me.

Yeah, whatever you say, hippie.

Solved by "RTFM" or actually tried browsing the icons in this game.. takes less time than asking on forums even..
