About Economic depression

How long do these last?
I have been in one now for years and it's really boring cause basically the entire galaxy is on hold and building anything at all will take at least 100 months except for the few prime worlds with REALLY good production.

Is it a depression or recession? I've had two recessions in the same game but never a depression, if it's a depression it could be really bad. Otherwise, one of the recessions lasted several years while the other one lasted only 3 or 4 months.

Yeah they seem random. Usually don't affect me much as my economy isn't totally ties to Taxes... diversification,man, diversification!

I've seen recessions, and they taught me the hard way that I should use my trade routes. NoctoZ, have you been paying attention to the economy recently? ;)

Reccession it was...
Well it lifted finally after a loooong time.
I have a large empire and a huge fleet so my ecomomy wasn't really ready for that kind of drop.
I had to lower spending to 14% to survive it.
I have 10 traderoutes but they don't compensate for that kinda off ecnomic problems.
