Speed - Slower gams and faster games wanted.

I enjoy long games. Sometimes, depending on who I could play with, I might want a longer gang or perhaps a shorter (i.e 1-2 hour) game.

So I was thinking, How would Stardock feel to change the resource and research meter from fast to a drag style bar that goes from 100x slower than normal to 100x faster? And the same for research?

That would let players choose the pase that suits them. Perhaps some players might like fast resources and seriously slow researsh so they have lots of smaller, less powerful ships to play with.

Because I may like slow games but my friend only has time for fast. And vice versa.

yeahhh i'm unsatisfied with the "slow, normal, fast".

I want an option that's twice as fast as fastest is now so I can do normal resources, fast tech, extra fast gamespeed.

Agreed. Currently game last way too long (3 hours for small 1vs1 is on everything fast is common -unless opponent quits first).
ObjectDock - Access shortcuts and frequently used applications from an animated dock.

How about slowest/slow/normal/fast/fastest, would that satisfy? ^^

I couldn´t bear to choose between 100x slower to 100x faster! O.o

We've already stated that we will be evaluating a faster setting for patch 1.03 :)

Yea no worries - but insted of Slow/fast etc, just have a drag bar so we can change speed to crazy levels.

I can see a amazing game out of a 10x slower research but 10x faster mineral game - more focus on smaller units and less quality units etc, while waiting for research to catch up. More Epic fights and someone with a 2nd capital ship suddenly becomes really scary!

The game is great, just a simple drag bar is what we would like to see :)

I concur, theres a lot of feedback asking for faster games and slower ones also,
so being able to set various aspects of the game to different speeds should satisfy even the most demanding of players.

Harcon's idea of sliders seems to give far more scope than just a couple of extra speed settings. I hope the devs can sort this out and make everyone happy.
