What effect how many Credits you get from building a trade post other then the distance between 2 of them and if one of them belongs to a ally.

Kenquinn... Any connection to SC or SC:FA?

Also, I don't think there is any other way to affect it.

generally it will increase the rate of income (ive heard 1.3/sec), if you have more posts ur rate increases.. if u have more than one in the same system, where u get bonuses (long distances, for eg.) u get even higher rate.

Some planets will have a bonus to trade income. Placement within a a grav well and total roundtrip time for individual freighters doesn't seem to have any effect.

So having more than one trade post per system will increase $$?

yes. i believe you get a flat 1.3 /minute for every trade post, period regardless of how many other posts are in that grave well. You get more by having long trade routes. I don't think having multiple posts in the grav well boost the size of the trade route though.

And if the devs were smart, it should be much more efficient to build a post that lengthens your trade route than build another post in a grav well that already has one. Like 2 or 3 times more efficient.

1.3 credits per minute? are u sure.. that seem very slow, given the investment required.. if its a credit rate similar to the civilian tax, shouldnt it be by the secound?

Glad I found this thread...

Does one want to build a Trade Post in each system ALONG the route, or only at the beginning and the end of the route?

Not sure in the manual I a uninterruptedly trade route increase the amount given but no one has mention that nor the exact specifics of what a uninterrupted trade route is was in the manual.

I don't think it matters.

The income per Trade structure is a base value + a bonus for the longest trade route you have. Other than the Trade structures that are forming the longest route, it doesn't seem to matter where you place additional structures - they all earn the same amount (not counting planet bonuses).

There must be a trade post in each COLONIZABLE planet along the way to get the route bonus end-to-end. Also, the trade route will 'autoroute' through the most profitable systems.
