1) "What did you do to your hair?"
Oh no he didn't! Especially if she spent a lot of money on her new do, don't say anything negative! And don't dare say "You look different"!
2) "They both look the same to me."
When your wife, girlfriend, significant other asks your opinion, don't' say that! Actually give an opinion, no guess work, no fancy speech and especially show that you do care!
3) "Relax."
Oh no, you know you asked for it! Her response might be, "Are you saying that I'm being irrational?" ! Run for cover or kiss and make it better!
4) "I've got it all under control."
LOL! Yes, sure you do! I've heard those words too many times and have had to save many a disaster! Is it so wrong for you to ask directions? Why don't you get a GPS system then? Give it up buddy, if you need help, ask for it!
5) "You're not one of those feminists, are you?"
Another reason to run for cover, making a comment like that! Women are very opinionated and will tell you exactly what they are thinking! What? Are you saying that they should just sit and look pretty and (gag) nothing else? She can't open the door herself, go dutch? Especially if she insists on any of those two, allow her to do it! (whisper aside to my ladies, sometimes it's good to let them do this for you!)
6) "When are you due?"
Never, ever, say this! She might not be pregnant and you might as well just hope the ground open up and swallow you! There is no way you're going to get over this one! Sorry fellows!
7) "You're being emotional."
It's like asking her if she's having her period! Another no-no guys! You definitely won't be getting any tonight!
8) "You're acting just like your mother/my mother/my ex-girlfriend."
Never, never mention your ex! And never, ever compare her to your mom! Unless it's a flattering moment where she looks good and it can be a compliment! But you should never do that no matter what!
9) "You complete me."
That line was so cute, however many eons of years ago Jerry Maguire was out. It's dried up now! So just put this line to rest, it's been tried, buried and found too used for use!
10) "Do you really think you should be eating that?"
