Newbie game at 8:30pm eastern time Feb 10, 08

Anyone looking for an all newbie game? I am a newbie and I would like to avoid getting pounded into the dirt by veterans(at least for now) so I'm going to host a game tonight(Sunday) at 8:30 PM eastern standard time. Anyone interested, check in at 8:30! The game will not be password protected, and it will have the word "newbie) in the title. My game name is the same as my forum name. I haven't decided on the settings yet. If anyone has any requests put them here in this forum before 8:30.

I might be interested. It would be my very first MP game at SINS.

It would depend on your settings. Can you try and post your hypothetical set-up parameters here, before 8:15 PM (EST) ?

Having "newbie" in the title of your game is a great idea. I have visited ICO yesterday and today, and I could not figure out how to join a game with people at my beginner's skill-level.

(I would be more interested in a Human team vs A.I. team match to get started on ICO, but maybe that's not what people are looking for when playing on-line.)

i've been looking for a newbie game myself. would this be pvp or against AI? i'm finally starting to beat AI on random easy..lol. i could spare up to 3 hours.

He has not answered here for the past 1½ hour : must be busy with supper.

Three hours or so would be OK with me too : I have to be at work Monday morning, at 8 am.

The host has the privilege of choosing Teams or FFA : he has not stated his preference yet. FFA would stress me a lot, but it would send me to bed earlier !

Me too : bullying "easy" comps is the extent of my SINS experience so far.

same here cybermage, for some reason FFA seems to stress me out atm. i'm still hovering over everything reading and rereading the descriptions. lol. can't quite blindly click on what i want yet. though, you are right about possibly getting to bed a bit earlier in a FFA round. hehe.

My preference, for a first presence on ICO, would be a Human team vs Comp team (normal A.I.), but some might find that "chicken". An all-human FFA would stress me out, also.

I have not played enough yet to have some fast, optimized routines well ingrained in my brain.

Anyway, I'll go check what the host has in mind, in about 25 minutes -- since he has not posted here for almost 2 hours.

If he doesn't show up, I would not wish to host : my router, even if I've configured its port forwarding, might then make the process difficult.

It's too bad he hasn't defined a password here. If he announces a "newbie" game on ICO, chances are that a few nasty spoilers might then join-in to do some n00b-bashing.

Here, at least, the probability of that happening is much reduced.

i have no problem with hosting. i'd be happy with a 2v2(ai) on medium or something. i'll hop on around 8:30ish as well..same name without the x's.

Hi I'm back. I see alot of people want to play human team vs AI, I'm down for that if that's the consensus. I'll be logging in to the server now. I imagine we can chat about the details there......
