Any groups going for new players?

Im loving the game so far... but... like any rts Im fearful of getting online and just getting pounded into submission by the games version of yoda.

Are there any folks out there forming up games for those of us who are new to the game?

oh man i'm so in the same boat :P

Games with a smaller scope i have an idea that i grasp it fairly soon, and dare to venture online. with this game though, not yet!!

I'm in GMT+1 (holland) and would be up for a 'newbie game' for sure :)

send me a PM or something (is that even possible on these boards? :P)

Lies. lordkosc destroyed all my fleets, and defenses...ran off to let me rebuild, and this continued for five hours before I figured it out!

There should be a sticky for group get togethers.

I'm a complete noob to SoaSE and would love to get into some group action with similar players. I'm on mountain time so if anyone is looking for a guinea pig to smite give me a holler. :)

I am very much a human-vs-human n00b (but, gee, I rock against easy comps!  :p).

Yesterday (Saturday), on ICO, even though 309 people were listed in the main lobby, I could not find one single game to join with other n00bs. Only 3 or 4 games were available at a time, and most were password-protected.

Today (Sunday morning in Eastern Canada/USA), on ICO, there were 99 people in the main lobby. Same situation. I asked on the chat for a game setup with other n00bs, to team-up against comps. Not one reply!

I could have tried to host a 3v3 game called « n00bs vs AIs » (medium map, normal speed, normal comps), but I do not trust my router for hosting purposes (even though I have forwarded the proper ports).

I am not complaining : just expressing that there must be a lot of MP-n00bs out there who do not find ICO very user-friendly for them. I don't have time to waste on ICO, when I could be spending it thrashing comps on "easy" all by myself.   :NOTSURE:

same story here, somewhat decent against hard AI (and by decent i mean i killed them) but i always have that fear of going online and getting pounded (which happens all the damn time!)
