INK

My new tat:

I've waited a long time for this one and I am in LOVE with it! Two blues for Xavier and Orian and pink for little miss Izzy.

Haha, coolness! And what does your husband have inked to commemorate the same?  ;)

What an awesome tattoo. I've got some work done recently and have booked an appointment basically once every 6 weeks indefinitely to finally get my work up to where I want it.

The most recent was a coverup job I had done as part of a larger piece. Once it is complete, I'll get some photos up for you to see.

Once again, awesome tat, Tex.

Shovel: Thanks!

Adrian has what you call "cherry skin"...no tats on him!

Maso: Thank you!!

I can't wait to see your new tat. Is it very expensive to get work done in Australia? I am amazed at how much cheaper it is in Texas than in Hawaii.

I spend about $100 per time, which, depending on the piece and the day, can be anywhere from 1 hour to 2 1/2 hours. The best thing is that I've become friends with my tattoist and he is just happy to see me regularly. How much are tats in the States? I planning on getting some ink done at different places when we do our big trip in 2010.

Yeah, careful how you spell that....

I don't know. It's kinda like goin' to see Yosemite and someone's erected a billboard on Half Dome.

Verry cool! How much did it costya?

Maso: That sounds about on par with what they charge around here. How cool that you're going to get tats in different places in the US. I love that idea!

xtine: Thanks! It's great to see you around!

BFD: (I love the acronym for your name, haha) LOL. My mommy body has very few decent places to put a tattoo!

LW: Nice. I know he is a morning grump, so he must approve! Haha.

As soon as I get a chance I'm going to give you a call. I don't want to tie up my grandparents' phone, so I may call you on my cell the next time I'm up early enough to do so. We haven't had a chance to catch up with each other in so long.

Raven: Thanks!

Gene: Haha, not a tattoo person, eh? I'll be sure to order your S80sYC without any tats! Hahahahahhaa.

dharma: Thanks! It was $80, which (I think) is a pretty fair price. It was about two hours of work.

It's not as concise as a tat from a flash, but I actually like it better that way.

Adrian thinks it's hot. :)

They're pretty kewl!

I'd never get one though. I once saw a Farside cartoon that had two old fat ladies sitting in some lawn chairs. One of them had a tattoo of a butterfly on her calf. We'll call her Lady A, and her friend Lady B.

Lady B, "Hey, didn't that butterfly tattoo used to be on your thigh?"

...So, not really for me. I like yours, though!

I love it even more because I"ve never seen any like yours!

Keeping your babes close to your heart, eh. Those are cool. I'm not a tat person as far as getting them on my person but I can appreciate them on others.

Cedarbird: LOL.

Mine is in a bad spot. Sure to sag! But the people who sponge bathe me in the nursing home are sure to think it's super cool. Haha.

FS: Thanks! I have been plotting this one for a looong time!

Jill: Exactly!

I (so far) have been careful about making sure my tats (only have 2 right now) are in places that are easy to cover up for whatever social situation.

I sometimes wonder about people who get them in places that can't really be covered (like the neck!), but I guess if you are proud of it, you don't want to hide it!

Not just the U.S. either. We're planning on going to England, Ireland, India, Thailand and Malaysia as well, so I might come home with a few different styles of tattoos as well.

My next appointment is this coming Saturday. More ink, yay!

Well the work I'm getting done at the moment is a continuation of a major piece. I have a few shots of the work so far (including the coverup). I will post them when I can.

LOL, LW, just wait. When we are both more settled financially we'll meet up and our titties can be properly introduced! haha.

Maso: I think that is just incredibly cool. I really regret not getting a tat in Hawaii. I am excited about seeing pics!

Right now mine is healing and pretty gnarly. I hate this part!

Yeah, it isn't particularly pleasant but then so worth it in the long run.
