Anyone want to take a shot at building it?

I was sayign to myself . .wouldn't it be fun to have a Birthday countdown widget that on your birthday downloaded a WB skin with animated candles on the start panel and icing along the top of window frames with cake on the sides. :SURPRISED:

And maybe weather, clock, and calendar widgets.
And then . . while we're there a few docks along the same theme.
It'd be fun to have a game where you had to blow out candles too.
The sutie would look incomplete without a Sidebar of course so maybe we need those too.
Would cursors shaped like a cake server be out of place?
And balloons . . and clowns . . . and . . and . . and . . .
Wallpaper, bootscreen, logon, rightclick, rainlender . . .

But for now . . I think we just need a countdown? :D

I know Po' is working on some reference images to base this thing off and I like zakai1369's design and you all kinda have an idea of what *I'm* looking for . . But this really is goin to be a community project.  So post what you are thinking and we can all discuss it.

If you really like what Po' posted in #26 or sARRGe's wall (link) in #21 speak up.  No one's feelings will be hurt if you like or dislike an idea (as long as you present it well).

I'm all for the pastelly colours with like a frosting kinda theme.
We can use ballons for buttons, I'm thinking candles for the Winamp sliders

Everything looks good as cake.  I can see the suit in my head now and I love it.  (But the translucency of balloons calls out for a skin.)   :D

I dunno which thread to post in , so I will post in both. I have the perfect idea for the Start Window, I just can't do it.

You need one of these....


To go right across the top of the window and have it unroll every time the window is opened...with the noise effect. I would do it, but I totally suck at animations.

It could extend past the window , like the dragon in Molten does.

OK.. OK !!

Right .. what you see here is a Special .. as it is 2 sidebars in one ...

To clarify, there are different hovers and captions and backgrounds etc .. depending on which side you have your sidebar ...

As for the multicoloured 'Birthday Balloon - Glassy type texture', I thought it might be a start towards the finished sidebar ... I even, at this point , have a chocolate cake for the clock !!

Ignore the wallpaper although , it does match ...anyway see what you all think ...here ya go !
