What can I expect from my 8800GTX in Sins?

What can I expect from my 8800GTX in Sins? If I ran the game at 1680x1050 with all settings maxed and at 4xAA, what kind of FPS could I expect? I know this game is optimized to run well on all hardware, so can I expect close to a constant 60 :D? (I'm sure CPU is also a big factor, and I have an Intel Core 2 duo E6400 oc'd to 3 GHz)

I have a couple top-of-the-line over clocked GTX cards and Sins is fluid at perversely large resolutions to say the least.

you can expect your GTX to sit pretty, you can easily manage the high settings. It does look shiny, but it's no Crysis ;)

having just played Crysis on an 8800 GTX don't for any minute underestmate the game there has been some real suspect reviews of Crysis.

1) If Soase is as enjoyable as Crysis then you will have struck gold, Beta4 is not as enjoyable as Crysis Retail in my opinion. I sincerly hope that SoaSE Retail release is as good in pure entertainment value, we will know soon and the signs are good.

2) The Nvidia 8800 GTX has SOOooo much overhead with SoaSE that it crys out for more, there has been talk of some extra Hi-res textures being released at a later date and there are some ambitious mods which will put your hardware to the test and give you the eye candy rewards.

3) SoaSE graphical effects look pretty damn fine even if the latest hardware isn't pushed to its limits.

Hope that helps...just my opinion.

not to be a pain in the ass or anything, but isn't it rather hard to compare a first person shooter to...well whatever cross genre thing they have going for sins.

And yes, a 8800GTX will run anything on the market on its highest settings, so no worries here. Given all the work being processed, a high level CPU and a good chunk of ram is more vital, at least in my opinion.

Comparing an old beta to a shipping game is rather unfair don't you think?

8800GTX should get by, with everything on medium..... :d

not to mention I still believe beta 4 rocks Crysis's ass.

Its subjective but you can gague it in pure entertainment and enjoyment value so long as you are not bias to one genre over the other.

There has been some good games recently competition is high.

You consider Crysis to be competition for Sins? Are you kidding me? The only thing Crysis was good for was making my [not so insignificant] system look like a Mac Classic. It made me cry; I uninstalled it. C average for Crysis, end of story. I think Sins can manage better being that:

1: Not utterly focused on how many dynamic light sources and photorealistic textures it can fit onto the screen at any given time

2: It's an entirely different genre of game

Your joking... right?

Comparing an old beta to a shipping game is rather unfair don't you think?

Given that you beat Crisis despite that unfair comparison... no.

So do I, Fuji apples rock!

Comparing to different Genres is also wrong...

RTS with heaps of Gameplay vs an over hyped System hog FPS Game ?
