Help! SoaSE is Caught in an endless download loop in SDC!

I've been watching the press on this game for a little while and finally decided I needed to pre-order and get access to the early beta (I normally don't buy any game before the reviews come out, but Stardock does such a great job with its games I make an exception in their case). I'm not a noob when it comes to using SDC as I have purchased all the "Galciv" games and their expansions. I recently updated my TotalGaming.Net account and decided to purchase SoaSE with tokens. I thought the game had downloaded and would begin to install when I noticed that above the download/installation progress bar it said "Downloading: sin.sdc". Nevertheless, in the "Action" column it claims the game is being installed. My transfer rate usually reads between 50 and 60 KB/sec, and the download of sin.sdc takes several hours. Regrettably, when the progress on the download of sin.sdc completes, it begins all over again. I'm stuck in an eternal loop! Please help me figure out what I need to do to actually download and have access to this game.

We're looking into this. I'll post back when we know more. If you switch SDC to use US-2 the download will work (just tested).

I seem to remember this happening before, but I can't remember how it was fixed :( I think it involved switching from US-1 to US-2, but I'm not sure...

Have you tried rebooting your computer? That fixes a lot of problems.

Wow, Ron

What? When I hit "post" Yarley's post didn't exist.

I still have this problem after switching to us-2 (and refreshing list) along with restarting computer. I looked for un-deleted registries for Sins; but couldn't find any.

Any other recommendations? As much fun as it is to see it go from 100 back to 0, I'd rather play the game.

EDIT: Hmm, upon looking further I found some .dmp files that belong it sins; Once the search finishes I'll see if that solved the problem.

EDIT2: No effect.

I too have tried the solution of switching to US-2. Just finished the download again but still no joy -- it just started over  (:( .

Finally; got it installed. Achieving it first allows you to install it for some odd reason.

Wow -- settle down guys. I also finally got it to download to my computer and I've been enjoying a few good, solid hours with it. Thanks for your help Stardock.

I have the same problem, i have downloaded the game 7 times on my pc now, using both normal install, archive install, both US servers and nothing works. I have even tried 3 times to install on my laptop, again nothing works. Im ready to give up now frankly. :(
