I don’t know if many of you realize it but in Florida we have Winter weather too. When it is good, it’s really nice. There’s a nice coolness to the temperature that is actually quite refreshing after experiencing many days of 98 degrees are higher!
In fact, quite a few Floridians, especially the transplanted ones from up North, usually don’t mind the chill we experience during the months of November and February!
Everyone, especially the stylish people, will step out in their tall boots and light-weather coats!
Since Yesterday though, it has been really, really, REALLY COLD here! We are talking 28 degrees last night! The wind factor made it even colder during the day! You guys who have regular winters know what that wind is like! It’s so cold my fingertips are frozen on the steering wheel as I drove earlier today! I breathed out and could make circles with my breath (if I knew how to)!
The farmers are worried about their orange and other crops and doing their best to handle the cold. For us we brought in our potted plant, there is only one of them that love the outside weather (it really does!) that we had to bring inside. The others are indoor plants and even those didn’t like being too close to the window because their leaves curled!
It is supposed to warm up again at the end of the week though, getting to about 60 or 70 degrees which is still good weather for us!

! Being used to the hot sun on a daily basis and suddenly getting cold, a shock to the system! My brother told me it was -4 degrees in NY yesterday! Brrrrrr..
