I dont have an issue with it, getting Russia back on its feet is certainly a feat. but then again, getting back into head on conflict with the west was not his most brilliant move.

Oh definetly, I'm not critiqueing his grand improvement of Russia as a nation.

I just found the fact that Stalin was person of the year kind of ... interesting.

So was Hitler. Being person of the year doesn't necessarily mean that they like you... just that you are very influential - and nobody can deny that, for better or worse, these were very influential people.

Russia is hardly a world power; their patrols are being heavily watched, and they can barely keep control of the red sea.

And Hitler was one of hte world's greatest modern leaders. He was a bad man and all, but you try lead your country to war while torturing hundreds of thousands of innocent people right near towns.

Hardly a world power?

Do tell me what you consider a world power then.

Finland obviously.

As always, not a constructive comment in sight.

Tell me windex, what have you ever contributed to this forum?

Nothing as far as I can tell. You?

PS: irony
PPS: let's keep this on topic, unless you really want to continue this mindless conversation :o

EDIT: somehow I can't edit the above message. Strange.

I would rather no list things I've actually done, but lets just say I've been friendly and helpful and have actually contributed to intelligent discussion.

I don't want to critique, but sadly I feel that you should not comment in a thread unless you have something to say or are genuinely funny, and you sir are not funny :P

Secondly, way to double post.

Thirdly, I care not whether it stays on topic, and from where I stand I'm the thread maker.

Hippies are definitely not fit to be emperors.
Yes, and the words of ass holes aren't meant for my eyes.

Still, here we are :)
Hippies aren't great. Emperors are (not you, of course). Hint, Hint, Hint.

Looks like we'll be here for a bit longer I guess. What's up with you?

Nothing much, just cramming for a bunch of test.

Tomorrow is the last day before Christams break, yay!!
Heh, mine was yesterday. Getting finals the week we get back from break, so it's going go suck pretty bad.
*Looks in disbelief*

Wasn't this about Stalin?

Oh and to rub it in emp, I'm taking a non-exam course at college...no cramming for me, just lots of delicious coursework  ;)

but this, this is just petty nonsense.

Putin killed the guy in britain this year. Rusian style poison him and everyone around. LOL they put radioactive stuff.

Way to get your facts wrong :P

There is not link to anything federal the guy died from radiation poisoning, yes. But there's no direct link back to our government.

And I do agree what was said was very petty of me, but I couldn't resist.

whoever did it was going for show. that reminds me of three countries, two of which wouldnt have a bone to pick with this guy.

It was a matter of circumstance, and in my opinion Britain might have done it themselves just to gain grounds for intervention in Russian policies, they wanted us to change our Constitution.

He knows our master plan!

*Agent Mongoose will now terminate TheGreatEmperor*

Truly, this is one of many conspiracy theories surrounding it.

Other include:

It was a terrorist plot to destabalise relations between the US, UK, and Russia and start World War III

The same story as above, except replace the terrorists with FSB, MIB and New World Order

It was a rogue American/British Intelligence cell still fighting the cold war (!)

The spy actually killed himself to prevent his secrets being learned by MI5 and the CIA, since he had knowledge of some new Russian superweapon

This is just a sample, as you can see they go from plausible to downright crazy...
