Leo the Lion Leo the Lion

Ah! Grasshopper.....

Last week it was 'scared of spiders' but this week it's Grasshoppers. Those friendly little guys who live in the grass. Here's an amazing 'mechanical' Grasshopper designed by Shikijiyu over at DA. I'm sure you will agree it is a stunning masterpiece  :) Link to pic below but hit the download button if you want to view it in large detail. Incredible detail.

And a Merry Xmas from Spiderman and me

I stumbled on this by accident when I saw a reference to a robotic grasshopper image I made a while back. While the arguments presented are totally right on - I am nonetheless MASSIVELY flattered to see my work posted with accompanying praise.

There are certainly artists who would be opposed to having their work posted up in such a way (instead of linking to the original source), I just happen to not be one of them. A safe bet would be to just drop an email and ask. In this case I would have happily answered, "Awesome!"

PS - Glad you liked it Leo the Lion. :)

Shikijiyu ....as site administrators we have to assume the author would be 'opposed', and thus could only know to the contrary if/when there was that email notification aka consent from the artist.....;)

Thanks for your comments, Shikijiyu.

You are a great artist and your work is fantastic and we'd love to see you put up some of your work on this website. Whilst Wincustomize is a skinning site - and without doubt the worlds leading website in this sector of art - some of us, in fact, I would guess the vast majority of us here, are all lovers of art too and that Grasshopper image makes a great wallpaper. Thanks again for your kind comments and I am truly glad you were not offended by my 'over enthusiasm'  :)
