I love Christmas...everything about it. I love the music and the lights, giving gifts, spending time with friends and family, decorating, mint m&ms (only at christmas!), the food, everything. I love the spiritual meaning behind the celebration, but I love the magic of the season for the kids. I love how my son really believes in Santa and thinks that Santa was hired by James Madison. (long story....but J.M. is his favorite president) I confess, I even love how stores start decorating in September!

I love the moment when the presents are opened and the kids are playing happily and I'm snuggling on the couch with HW....

Ditto on that! Just the overall feelings and the memories of pleasure the season gives me! I love giving presents and enjoy seeing how happy my kids are when they open theirs!

We used to hide all the presents until the kids went to bed on Christmas Eve, then feverishly finish wrapping a putting them under the tree. When the last present was in place and we finally got a minute to sit down and look at the tree and the presents and the extra decorations that "Santa" put up during his visit...a quiet few minutes with MamaCharlie on the sofa, all the lights out except the ones on the tree...little snores coming from the bedrooms...eating Santa's cookies.

Sometimes not finishing to 5 or 6am, just in time for the kids to wake up and glow with surprise and joy! (I did 3 bikes and a wagon one year).
