Stacks or Grid Stacks on ObjectDock

Stacks or Grid Stacks on ObjectDock

Man, this is sweet feature on Leapard. I know there are flyout menues, but any plans for stacks grid menu. This would make my productivity level jump!

I flipped what I meant to say in light of what the developer said. I forgot that Kosati had it working though. (the fan)

Ok then, ignore me. I must be having a stupid moment.
I have gotten both the grid and the stack to work on top.

Same here, developer made it better than he knows apparently.

I agree.

This is an object dock bug. If your dock is on top, the position on screen is by default automatically set to bottom still. You have to change it every time you start your computer. Hope this bug gets reported and fixed...

I don't have this problem.

Maybe it's a docklet bug (not an ObjectDock bug) . . but I don't see it.

jive01... I have 3 docks in the top position (on dual monitors), and I checked them all to make sure. No problem here.

Perhaps you should start a new thread, and we may be able to help you figure out what's causing this.

Back on topic. The Stacks Docklet ROX!

I'd be really interested to know how you intend to use TC in this way? Feed the stack to listbox? If so the docklet writer would have to know the TC API very well in order to hook into it to do this. I don't mean to be unkind, but I doubt the demand for such a feature would be very high.

Or show the stack as normal (either in grid or linear) then when you click an icon.. what should happen?

Don't get me wrong, TC is one of my favourite apps (as is OD+) but I can't see how the two could be integrated. I'm happy to be educated though  :)

(:-)) I asked the developer and he actually had an idea -change registry shell/open, which works, but he is looking into a feature for that (:-))

Good figuring!

Not a good result tho' I got rid of the arrows years ago & don't miss 'em at all!

Used a trick from years ago : Assigned a complete transparent shortcut icon. ;)

Ok, I've followed everything the dev. says to do (props to Messiah and Mirs for pointing this out) but, I can't figure out how to install it. I extract the zip to Object Dock>Docklets. But, I don't see anything in OD offering a stack docklet after that!! Am I doing something wrong? Maybe extracting to the wrong place? I really want this but, it's just not working. HELP!!!

Right click an empty area of the dock > Add > New "Stack" Docklet. (may be slightly different with the free version)
Or you can open the Dock Properties dialog > Docklets > Stack Docklet > Add this Docklet to the Dock.

Yeah, stack docklet doesn't show up though. I wonder if I'm extracting it to the wrong spot. I'll give it a go again once I get on my laptop. I'm on OD+ so, I can't see that being an issue.

I wonder if I'm extracting it to the wrong spot.

The path to mine is "C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Docklets\StackDocklet"

Hope that helps, if not, I'm sure we can figure it out.

Extract to C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Docklets. The relative path is already set in the zip.
Then check to see if you have a StackDocklet folder in the OD Docklets directory. There should be a StackDocklet.dll, and IMages folder inside.

This is pretty cool......first I've heard of it was this thread today.....don't know how I missed it before. Thanks guys :)

You'd have to make sure to extract those paths when you unzip it tho!!

Sometimes the default is just to spray the contents out without the paths... depends on your unzip tools...
