Three Types of Americans!

Three Types of Americans!

which one are you?

I have been fortunate enough to mingle with Americans on a day to day basis over the past few months, and rightly so I have drawn my conclusions – they may be a bit sweeping and broad, but I am comfortable in saying there are three types of Americans.

The first American is your general public – they barely know what is going on in the next state let alone somewhere on the other side of the planet. They eat 5 meals of McDonalds every week, and go to the baseball. More likely than not, they drive an SUV, or know someone who does. These Americans love their country, culture, and President – this is simple because they are simple people, and don’t know any better. This first kind of American has a tendency for follow the shepherd – If someone looks smart and intelligent when they sprout pro-Americana propaganda, they will usually chime in with a ‘well, if we are so bad, why are we so powerful’ yada yada yada remark.. which is fine by me… they really cant back it up, and are just fighting a debate by paradox – usually, this type of American does more harm than good for a right winged argument, because they prove the ignorance we know and love.

The second type of American is the one I get along best with. The cultured American who realises that the world is bigger than 52 states and a whole lot of money. These American’s realise that they should be using their status as a political super power to influence the world for the better! They don’t hold anything against anyone for crack-pot leftist ideas, and in fact, they can be rather right wing at times (Greywar :D), just with an International conscience. It’s these American’s that restore faith in my heart after dealing with the third and last type of American

The Third type of American drives me insane. They are the ones that know that the world is a really scary place, and they know there are several aggrieved factions that don’t agree with American policy or culture, however, they don’t give two hoots. As long as America’s bottom line is increased, and as long as the world knows that America has the biggest guns, this kind of American is happy – they don’t even care what kind of world their children will enter, they just assume that everything will be fine because they have the biggest defence budget. This kind of American will write off the second kind of American and anyone from the International community as a crack pot terrorist sympathiser should they disagree with any of their opinions. They feed from stupidity or naivety rather, of the first type of American.

JU seems to be full of many from each little faction… This kind of makes me happy… it makes the place interesting. I think we all know what kind of person we are, and l trust my judgment – I know what kind of person you are as well.

Hey Hey...no need to do the stereotypes.....Hey Mugazz....first of all..I joined JU after the STUPID AL-QUADA article...and now reading some of your others, I have learned some things about you...so if some of my other questions sound stupid...sorry I didn't know any better.

And I don't like these stereoptypes even though I admit...a Lot of them do apply to some of my fellow classmates. SO what is your category for American high school teenagers? no better yet, what is your stereoptype for Californian high school teenagers? Rich, suburban whites that wear Abercrombie & Fitch that only care about their social status, drinking and tanning booths? lol...I would like to know what you think of the American youth. Afterall it is the American youth that can change the future. I am on the debate team, (I'm not a geek, I promise) and I have noticed that teenagers, well at least at my suburban school are very open minded and acknoledge the problems of the world, the middle east and others. I would say that over 50% of the teens at my school are liberals and against the tactics of the Bush Administraion. It is comforting to know that these kind of kids are the ones that are getting into the ivy league schools and the ones that are taking the rigerous A.P courses (college level courses.) This ultimately shows that a good number of the American youth are tolerant, intelligent and open-minded. This just comes to show that maybe America will have a better future in the hands of it's youth....and hopefully in 20 years we can change these stereotypes that Americans are arrogant, ignorant, narrow-minded and intolerant. I wish these stereotypes were based on the American youth, cause it would be completely the opposite. please reply, I like hearing the comments...

Can I get someone to do my laundry? I swear! I need a wife!

Dr. (Oh, God) Muggaz,

What about the single-mom working her ass off everyday, trying to live, love, hate, feed her children, and survive in a place where she's stereotyped as young and stupid?

(Sorry, had a bad experience at lunch!)

So, what you're saying is teenagers are awesome cause we aren't normal? I like it! I'd have to say that teens don't really get classified in any country except as teens. All we are are teens and we all have those kinds of thoughts, or at least a majority of us.

I'd have to say that my Ohio high school is almost completely opposite, when it comes to the presidential likings. Most of us here like republicans, I can't speak for all, but the A.P. students mostly do at least.

To classify teenagers is to classify a whole new group of people. Muggaz classification wouldn't work as well on us because we don't think the same way as the adults do.

All this, just an observation btw.

I'd like to pretend I don't fit into any of these catogories but I'm probably sandwiched between one and two- trying to be cultured yet just too damn stupid.

Catagories suck, They make me think of nazi germany.

Thanks anyway...this was enlightening, if a little cruel.

I have said it many times before... Hindsight should be whacked over the head with a pole...

This is one of those articles that I wrote without thinking... Pidgeon Holing Americans into 3 categories and saying they are ignorant narrow minded f00ls is ignorance epitomised...

I must stress my sincere apologies to anyone if I offended them... LW - the impetuosness of youth is my excuse for type casting... NZ would be an Awesome place to live... they are so relaxed and laid back, yet they are an empathetic people... although they enjoy sexual relations with sheep

As for the American youth... If I was to be completely honest, I would say I am a bit scared... to me, the American youth, as well as the Australian youth, are a picture of decadence... no one seems to care anymore.... all kids seem to care about these days is image, relationships, and that kind of superficial crap... I know this isn't true woth everyone... but in my honest opinion, society is on a downward spiral... perhaps I am a little jaded... This is one of those occasions where I would absolutely love to be prooved wrong.
