Hi, I have the same problem, tried the uninstall-reinstall route with no positive results. This sucks, I have NO problem downloading new sound packages and installing them but as soon as I start program it produces a note stating that it has crashed. WTF, this seems like it has been going on for quite a long time, we need help from Stardock.

please email [email protected] with system info, Soundpackager version info, etc.

I Recently had the same problem. I'm running vista 32 bit. I e-mailed support in regards to this matter and all is well again. this was thier reply...

Please first do the following:
-Remove all soundpacks in %allusersprofile%\Application Data\stardock\SoundPackager
-Delete %userprofile%\Application Data\Stardock\SoundPackager
-Go to the C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\SoundPackager\Skin directory and rename
SoundPackagerSkin.dll file.

Try launching SoundPackager again. Does it load?
Note: Use 'Alt+Space, c' to close out of it if it loads.

If you still have a problem, press and hold the Windows key, press R and type the following into the Run dialog:
dxdiag

Once everything loads, please click the "Save all information" button and attach the output file in a return email.

Thank you,

I'm using XP and, after numerous uninstalls, re-instals, and reboots, and emailing Stardock about this problem. I found this thread in the forum. The first time around this fix didn't work. I ran the dxdiag, and was waiting to here back from Stardock on this when I tried it again. After all, it was the weekend, and I knew I wouldn't hear back from Stardock till Monday. I found the three SP files that came with SP, and deleted them also, then rebooted. I'm not sure if it was SP included packages, or  the reboot. I'm inclined to think the latter. None the less, this fix does work, just make sure to reboot }:)

Having issues here too, Windows 7, 64bit. Throws up a couple regsvr32.exe errors while installing, and then once installed the launch fails. Checked in my application log and the faulting module appears to be kernel32.dll. I cleaned it out and reinstalled, but seems the same. I'll keep it installed for now and keep an eye out for an update.

Hey fellas, just got this fix from Curt at Stardock Support. Worked for me, hope it works for you.

Try copying the wbocx.ocx file from the Impulse install directory into the SoundPackager one

The file I found was called wbocx32.ocx, but worked all the same. Give it a shot, see if it works for you too.

After the first run Soundpackager stopped working on windows 7 64bit.... If you run it as administrator it works just fine. You can specify to always have it run as administrator so that it has read/write access to the windows sound files otherwise it simply cannot do what it is intended to do. Hope this helps anyone.

Well who would've thought it could be that easy?! I'd struggled with the problem for months. Nothing Stardock Support suggested worked but now, running it as Administrator, it works fine. Simple to set it to always run that way too. Thanks so much for the info!
