Nothing To Do

It's kind of a strange feeling for someone who is normally on the go. I have nothing at all to do today. Nothing. At some point I will probably run down to the truckstop and put a little fuel into the truck, but even that isn't really a pressing need unless I decide that I need to go some place but honestly, there really isn't any place I can think of that I need to go.

Everything that I need is within easy walking distance. There's Applebee's next door, a grocery store, a liquor store (if I feel so inclined), a DQ, and pizza is as close as a phone call. I will be avoiding retail stores like the plague this weekend as the mad bargain hunters will be out in full force, and there really isn't anything I need to buy at them anyway.

I caught up my paperwork yesterday so there's nothing more to do there. No business related things to do at all. It really is rather odd to have nothing that needs doing. I do have my knitting and will be working on that over the weekend, but that's hardly a chore or even something that I have to do but rather an enjoyable way to pass the time.

I'm not very good at doing nothing but I'm going to give it my best shot this weekend.

Well, you could rent a cheap car and go see the touristy sturff in the area. Parks, museums, world's largest non-stick skillet, theme parks, whatever floats your boat.

Thanks, but nah. I drive for a living so the idea of driving around on my off time doesn't really appeal to me. I'm kind of enjoying just loafing around.
