When Tempers Flare

this isn't the place

When tempers flare...things get said. There were a couple forum posts yesterday about an issue that has a broad meaning to the community. Things were said that shouldn't have been said here, in our community. They should have been handled outside of the forum post, like via Private Message or Email. I am not apoligizing for what I personaly said because I stand behind my words but some of it was off topic and didn't need to be aired in the forum. What I'd like to say, though, is this. I'm sorry for saying it HERE for everyone to see. Please accept my sincere apology.

We all have our days Messiah and some people tend to push your buttons at times...no blood was spilled....no sweat! There have been "lots" of times I'd see a post that would just get my blood boiling...I'd write a response to get it out of my system and then delete rather than click submit.

messiah1 what you and the others did in the beginning of those posts was correct.
What it turn into was what will always happen.

From my view point that's the major problem with forums and this technology in general. We all of sudden have a shield in front of use called the computer screen and you know what happens, our mouths engage before the brain has time to react. It happens to me alot, I'm just albe to move away in time before I start typing.

Was what some of things you said, maybe out of character, probably, but then there was alot of it going on and being dished out.

Important thing is you're back here.

Oh, and if this happens again, and it will, you and the rest of the community are expected to stand up for the community.

Over time I have found it is often most wise to ask in pm and or on IRC, those nagging questions that could other wise in public be volatile.. that and refraining from letting Emotion be the driving force for a reply/post, is often the most prudent..

no harm no foul.

Sat back and read it all. Reality TV Stardock style. I got a kick out of it. Not one word anybody said bothered me in the least. This was nothing compared to when the wife and 2 daughters have the claws extended.
