Details?

Can someone help me finish these up?

Ok, So I've made six new wallpapers and they are of the theme "oasis". There are three day views and three night views of the same pictures. I was wondering if anybody could help me finnalize these as I am new to this and don't have much experiance.

Hm, photobucket seems to have cropped them a bit. The originals were 1280 x 1024 and now they are 1024 x 819... At least you can still see the main image.

Well it's a decent start, but I can tell that it was made, due to lack of small details. For example, there is no region between land and water that's different same for oasis region and desert, no small plants spots, possibly rocks.

To start you'll need to include some form of reflected surface in the water...it's quite unrealistic to have only the sky shown....trees etc should be there too...

Oh....and shadows...and some form of horizon....the sky looks like a pattern infill, not a 3D space...

Well, when I said fihalize them I meant addind details as I had only really drawn out the base image. I was thinking of adding a couple more bushes, some rocks, and shadows, and maby even more defined sand up close.

Do you mean that I should add even smaller plants closer to the water and move the bigger ones farther out?

Yeah, I realized that I still needed tree reflections after I put this post up. I will Try to work on that and the horizion.

Actually no, it may need smaller plants, like possibly small patches of grass near water. Random placment is what nature usually looks like.

Yeah definately needs shadows cast from objects.
