I've become one of those mums

It's not necessarily a bad thing and I'm sure we all do it about something - but I realised this afternoon while talking on MSN to a friend that I've become one of those mums incapable of holding a conversation without mentioning Elana.

shes got this chain of plastic links that she keeps taking to bed along with her lions bear and when i go to pick her up after her nap the same two yellow links are no longer attached to the green/pink/purple links

this morning i put her down and gosh she was cute she had the chain in one hand the dummy in her mouth her bunny rug bunched up around her with one corner in her other hand and she had the bear on her tummy - i was going to take a photo but i feared i'd wake her

That was the conversation that made me realise - however it wasn't the first time - anytime anyone talks to me I say fine elana's doing this etc most of my blogs or ideas for blogs but i dont write are elana related any site i visit online baby.com or whatever is elana related i talk about her incesssantly - I'm sure the only reason I don't put her picture everywhere is because they're all on Nick's laptop not mine.

I feel very boring - sorry!! :)

Awwww I'm like that with my niece, I just go on and on aboiut how cute and adorable she is, I'm sure you've noticed that in my blog. I just can't help it though. I don't think it's boring at all, is nice to hear about her, and you're just a proud Mummy, nothing wrong with that!! Would be nice to see some pics to!

I don't see anything at all wrong with mentioning, talking or bragging about someone you love very much. I think it's pretty much an instinct or involuntary action for most people. It's just something you can't help. I definitely won't hold it against you.

I do it with two or three things at the moment, one being my car because I haven't driven it for soooo long and i'm just getting excited with what's ahead.

To add fuel to the fire, I have just uploaded a few pics of Elana to the photo hosting site. I expect to soon be confronted with her image like some kind of saturating advertisement campaign Link
