"Whack a Mole" a fully connected custom 1 v 1 map.

Name comes from the colorful phrase the sins dev's love to use for this type of scenario.

Recommend vs. a hard AI. Feel free to test on multiplayer and let us know the results.

Credit goes to Vandenburg for creating the original fully connected test map. All i did was reposition, and change some planets to balance things out. I thought this was going to be an annoying map, but it turns out to be quite fun (in a sadistic sense ). You can do one of two things here. You can go for the quick kill, or turtle, and try to take some of the other worlds. The AI behaves just a little differently on this map. I'll let you all see for yourself

The layout means nothing other than i intentionally made some jump distances very long to prepare for incoming attacks. EVERYTHING is just 1 jump away, and there are no choke points to save you. Turn off the "show planet connections". You dont need to see them anyway.

Try rapidshare, but i dont think that is a real solution.

Hehehe, and that is a bad thing how?

I wont use rapidshare because you have to register to upload.. registrations mean more spam :/

This map doesnt seem to work after patching to the latest beta version. I am looking into why, and will update the map when i find out

add this line of code :

isFirstCapitalShipIsFlagship TRUE

at the top of the galaxy file it should go between :

hasStartingPlanetPirates TRUE
isFirstCapitalShipIsFlagship TRUE

On another note.. Has anyone found a use in the beta for "jump range" research? It is there now, but i have seen no effect researched or not.

My point exactly. In fully connected mod maps we will need some kind of limitation, and limiting the jump range seems to be the best solution. Something like Gal Civ2's range limit.

For those who already downloaded the map just do kosc's fix on your own for now. It works. I'll upload the fixed map when i get back from my weekend work trip.
