Thinking about writing a novelette

You know while I was sitting here eating some bean dip and scoops... I thought you know... Ive seen those ppl that have chapters and that kinda thing on here, as though they are writing a book, and you know I thought maybe I should give it a shot, I havent writen a book in ages granted none of my were ever published because they didnt meet my standards as a writer...
So I was think should I...??

You tell me... should I put for the effort into writing a novelette on this site?

Well if it does come about that I do indeed have to write this novellette here then I think I will rewrite a story I was working on called "The Masquerade" So you bastids better forget this article exist...

Muggaz, a "novelette" is a short novel (or a long short story, depending on who you ask). But I suspect you're clever enough to have known that.

If memory serves me correctly a novelette is a story of fiction that is between 20,000 and 80,000 words, once it passes the 80,000 mark it then becomes a novel...

Marky Mark Mark... As for what this long short fiction will include I dont know orginally it was about a kidnappers redemption through destruction, but I have used this metaphor too many times in my writing and so I must now mover on and so I plan to re write it, as for what will be in here I dont know, I have always wanted to do a vampiric story, I have done a cannibalistic short novel with a friend of mine, the funny thing is I read a blog by a new comeer and she was complaining that she had to write a 20000 words novelette for Extreme English lol... I do but remember that in our story the first two chapters alone were 20000 words long... to bad the story only got to chapter 7 before he left and I set it aside and then scrapped it because he said that he was going to make a career out of the USAF.

WF Im so glad you are hopefully I wont let you down.

it's only 10 000 words THANK GOD. i would be freaking out if it was any more. Well, you'll be pleased to hear that i've got 500 words...

the first chapter's up on my blog... it's a little abstract, but rest assured, it IS going somewhere.
