Throwing up on cats and whatnot

~Auntie Rose again~
I finally have a nephew.
He was born at the end of August , and he is such a tiny little thing! It feels weird AND wonderful now being able to buy green turtle shirts and little blue baseball caps.
I will continue to enjoy giving my nieces pretty, pink, girly things, though.
It's been over 12 years since we've had a boy in the family (and I'm counting close cousins, aunts, and uncles, too), so this has been a pretty special event.
~Yuma~
My honey and I went to see 3:10 to Yuma tonight. I liked it very much...it kept my interest throughout. I thought it had the right amount of drama and action. Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, and the guy who played Charlie (I don't know his real name...lol) gave excellent performances. Chris would probably do a better job at reviewing this movie (he's seen the original as well), but
you'll have to do with my crappy take on it for now.
~Director in the Making?~
Not...but it might be the beginning of a hobby for me. See, I made my first video. I storyboarded, edited, added effects and music and all that stuff. It took me a few days, but I got it done and was pretty proud of myself. I enjoyed it so much that I think I might do a few others. I Youtub-ed it and linked it to another site from there. Now, I WOULD share it, but I created it for a specific audience (my family), so it would probably be pretty boring to you...trust me...lol.
~Throwing up on Cats~
I'm in my second week of my new school year and everything has been going well so far. The 100 plus kids I see everyday have been good for the most part. There have been some talkers, but nothing major (I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is as "major" as it will get!).
Not only am I starting to get accustomed to them, but they are getting pretty comfortable with me. They are getting so comfy, in fact, that they are starting to share tidbits with me: there is the boy who likes to bullride, there is the girl who loves gymnastics and is taking lessons, and then there is the boy who shared that he once got so sick, he threw up all over his cat (didn't make it to the bathroom on time). Hmmm...I am sure I'll be hearing more of these types of stories as the year goes on.
~Special Visit~
My sister and I visited my grandfather's grave today. I hadn't been there in over a year. I miss him very much...but along with the sadness, appear all the wonderful memories. I am planning to ask my mother for old photos of his, so that I can scan them and create a slide show of sorts.

Here are some pics I took today.

It is always so bittersweet when I visit my grandfather. It makes me terribly sad, but it also creates a warmth and pride inside of me.
