Oops, Sony does it again

Not sure how important this is to everyone. Thought it was interesting that it would happen a second time.

First it was 'Free Rootkit with every CD!'

Now it's 'Free Rootkit with every thumbdrive!'

WooHoo! Sony is on a roll!

I saw this the other day and thought: "Surely the silly ba***rds wouldn't be doing THAT again."

Well it seems I did read it right after all....that they are silly enough and ARE doing it again.

Seems Sony will never learn...also been hearing lately that their warranties aren't worth the paper they're printed on...that customer service (on what were once quality products) is woeful.

Note to self. Sony and PC do not mix.

More like Sony and customers do not mix....as in Sony seems hell bent on alienating customers wherever they can. A friend recently had big time trouble with Sony honouring the warranty on a 6 week old flat screen TV that just stopped working. While the techie in the (authorised Sony dealership) store where he bought it determined the failure is due to a faulty circuit board, Sony (having never seen the TV) refuses to honour the warranty, saying it is a user issue/fault.

The really stupid thing about it is that he could buy a brand new one in the next size up for less than what it would cost him to repair the original....but needless to say he won't be going Sony with the next one.

Another blow to their already frail hold on consumer loyalty. Wow Looks like a crash and burn to me....
