Freak Out: Extreme Freeride's North American Debut

PLYMOUTH, MI – August 28, 2007 – Stardock Entertainment and Dreamcatcher Interactive today announced that the companies have reached an agreement to bring many of Dreamcatcher's best games to Stardock's acclaimed TotalGaming.net digital-distribution service. In the coming weeks, hit titles like Painkiller, Hegemonia and Aura: The Fate of Ages will join the extensive library of games already available at TotalGaming.net, where fans can buy top-quality games without the hassles of intrusive copy protection. Stardock is also pleased to announce that Freak Out: Extreme Freeride's launch on TotalGaming.net marks the first opportunity for gamers in North America to check out the high-flying skiing game. Freak Out: Extreme Freeride and Genesis Rising are both available now at TotalGaming.net for $19.99 and $39.99 respectively.

"We are putting a lot of resources into expanding the product line-up at TotalGaming.net, and we’re really excited to begin what we hope will be a long and prosperous relationship with Dreamcatcher Interactive," said Brian Clair, Director of Publishing at Stardock Entertainment. Interesting. I can't wait to see haegemonia show up... Even though I own a physical copy of the game, the expansion's impossible to find legally nowadays...

Bring on the new multiplayer opponents!

Hmm, we're not getting the expansion (didn't know there was one!), but I'll see what we can do.

Is it possible the get the full list and perhaps even ETA for the games?

I don't have an ETA on many of these, as Dreamcatcher is having to make some coding changes to remove their CD copy protection. But this list should be in some semblance of release order.

  • Painkiller
  • Dungeon Lords
  • Safecracker
  • Hegemonia
  • Painkiller: Battle out of Hell
  • Aura
  • Cameron Files 2

That's a good list. Thank you.

Sure thing.

Regarding the Haegemonia expansion: It's called the Solon Heritage. The reason that you probably didn't know about it is that it was apparently never published in the US.

Yeah, that's going to make it very difficult to obtain.     I'll see what I can do though.

Thanks, Yarlen. Anything you can do is appreciated, even if it doesn't lead to anything immediately (or ever, should that be the sad case).
