Using MS Word 2007 to post onto JoeUser.com

You can now use Microsoft Word 2007 to post your blogs on JoeUser.com.

To do it, do the following:

Choose new blog from Word 2007. Then, for the API choose MetaWebBlog and for the Posting URL use this:

https://www.joeuser.com/api/xmlrpc.aspx

Then enter your UserID and PW from JoeUser.com and voila.

And that's it!

Very cool tip though I'm in absolutely no hurry to upgrade my version of Office since Office 2K3 still works great here.

I should and will add here that I'd probably be happy to use Office 2007 but just don't see the need to upgrade to 2007 (and pay $$$ to do so) when 2003 works fine and was paid for a long time ago.

If Microsoft offered a cheap upgrade plan, perhaps I'd be more inclined, but they just don't seem to get that I will not bankrupt myself buying upgrades that don't add that much more to what I had in the past. Especially considering I'd be looking at upgrading a whole household of systems over time. All part of the reasons I consider open source alternatives more and more frequently.

I got mine thru my job, I did't pay. But if openoffice comes out with a similar program to this one, like the blog feature, i'll get it. i was gonna buy the blog navigator but for now i wont. maybe a month from now.

Also, you can use the Windows Live Writer  (Beta) blogging app if you don't want to sink the money for Office 2007.

I've found Writer to be a very handy tool as of late.
