WB 6.0

Shutdown and Boot Problem

I've been having an on going problem with both 5.0 and 6.0 WB on one of my Vista computers. After I install WB (either) I get a blue screen on re-boot. I definitely believe that it's a computer problem as I'm running WB on my other Vista computers, including an Intel Mac with XP Parallels, with no problems. The blue screen only comes up for a moment, so I can't read any of the information; the only report I get is that Vista Ultimate didn't shutdown correctly. It takes a couple of re-boots before it starts and when it does, WB works fine until the next boot - warm or cold. The computer in question is running a dual boot system of XP and Vista Ultimate on separate hard drives. XP boots fine, Vista does not. Any ideas what the problem might be?

LogiTech Wireless Key and Mouse running setpoint and HP e-home infrared receiver are the only full time USB.

Thanks, Neil. apparently the ir-USB was the problem. ( I reinstalled WB 6.0 and did 7 re-boots with no problems) Is that ir problem going to be addressed in the final release of WB 6.0? I like using the ir unit.

I have the ir-receiver issue as well under the 5.51 eval, I have the media center ir-receiver/remote and I rely on these heavily. So a fix for this would be very welcome.

On another issue, I live in the Netherlands and don't have a credit card, many people here (Europe) do not have one, so I opted to use pay pal, in turn pay pal told me that credit card payment was the only option, which is a bit daft. In short, is there any way I can pay without a credit card?

I've run into another nagging problem with one of my music services under WB 6.0 in both Vista and XP. The service is Yahoo Jukebox and it is crashing in both Vista and XP if WB is loaded. I’ve traced the problem to the following:

All of my other programs, both music services and regular apps, are working fine in WB 6.0. Is this a Yahoo problem or a problem with WBLIND.dll? Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

I have the same problem with Yahoo Jukebox. In WIndow Vista, the jukebox doesn't skin properly when opened and then crashes and closes with an error (can't remember what it was). I haven't tested it in XP. I didn't see a "per app" ability in WB 6. Will this be coming in future versions?

It's there under "Change the look of a particular application"

It's there, but it has no effect in either XP or Vista, Jukebox still crashes. An interesting note: My Intel Mac has absolutely no problem with Parallels XP, WB 6.0 and Jukebox. Knowing that WB 6.0 is beta, I would think the Mac would be the one having the problem. But no, it just works. (scary)

I was able to correct the Jukebox problem in Vista by by turning off Aero-DWM in Tweak Vista. I don't know what to do in XP. Any suggestions?
