Metaverse Submission Question

Yeah my submissions dont seem to take either. I have submitted 2 games, and dont see my name anywhere on the list at all.

What is the deal with this?

Please see the thread near the top of the forum titles "Brad's ongoing GalCiv update thread" The first post has a new .dll that you will download and place in your GalCiv Data directory.

Also, make sure you have visited http://www.galciv.com/playerreg.asp and registered your player with the Metaverse BEFORE you submit.

I have downloaded the .dll and it hasn't helped me.

I have also registered for the metaverse many, MANY times.

Nothing seems to help.

What happens when you submit?

When I click the submit button, it pauses for at most a second, and then goes straight to the main game menu.

What I'm wondering is if this is normal, or if I should be seeing some kind of indication that something is actually being submitted.

There is no submission verification. If it is working correctly, however, your score should appear almost immediately. Consider the following:

Have you quit and then re-started GalCiv since you updated the .dll?
Have you tried re-registering your player AFTER updating the .dll?
Try quitting and restarting GalCiv more than once, or even rebooting (this probably does nothing, but seemed to be what I did when the Metaverse FINALLY worked for me ;))

Try reading "Brad's Ongoing GalCiv update thread" at or near the top of the forum. It deals mostly with this problem, and there be some other suggestion made in there that could help you.

I have done the same thing with numerous different games(should be about seven), registered numerous times with the Metaverse, tec. No dice yet.

If you haven't already, try registering your player using the inbuilt browser in SDC. Mine started working after I did that. Possibly just an amazing coincedence, but anything is worth a shot?

No dice for me either...just finished my first game....victory and a 350 score.....nothing shows up.

Oh, believe me, I've tried many different versions of restarting. Unless we're required to restart the game a special number of times ( a Mersenne Prime for instance ), that is not the issue.

I'll keep looking into Brad's thread, hopefully something new will emerge soon.

I don't even see a submit button. Where is it? The only button I see on completion of the game is Done. Do I have to be connected to the internet for this to even be an option?
