In my four years at JU I have never encountered anyone as infuriating and as condescending as a certain Furry Canary. I suspect he has one or more aliases on JU. I am sorry that I have to mention him by pseudonym but I cannot for the life of me, understand why he is so domineering, so persistent or so certain that the World will bow down to him for being a superior person. This is a man who cannot put a banner to his name without a mistake (The Merchant would be appalled), and who scribbles away aimlessly at his intended target. He nibbles away like a chicken at a bare corn stalk and he makes assertions about credentials that show ignorance and uninformed thought.

He has a few friends but he is one of those Joeusers who come and go --and try to convince us how clever he is. Problem is, he is a harper and niggles and nags at the slightest slip. He is clever, I'll grant you that, but not as clever as he thinks he is. He has a good education behind him but dares to question my credentials. He is, in my view, a cheeky little boy who has an inflated opinion of himself.

I have not criticised anyone on JU before but I believe this FC has a swollen head, a hunger for domination and a passion for put-down. I have crossed many of my boundaries and I regret that.

Perhaps he'll go away--I doubt it. Now let the chickens run.

This blog is closed for the summer and will, hopefully resume in September.. (and perhaps not.)

He is exactly that - but harmless otherwise.  He does that to all of us (of all persuasions) when he finds a topic he likes.

Wow, do you get to her/him this bad that he/she wrote an article like this out of anger? Funny to think that I was somewhat like you on that article yet he/she did not mention me.

I don't know if what DrGuy says is true about you, I have seen your name very few times in here so I don't know what kind of responder you are but I would hate to think DrGuy thinks like that of me considering I agreed with you on that article on how adnauseam handled him/herself on that article.

I think he/she took the comments to serious and personal. He/she must have felt that much passion (I seem to like this word lately) over the issue. Kinda reminds me of Col gene except his is an obsession.

Oh well. There's a saying we have in Puerto Rico; I'll translate as best I can:

"those who get mad have 2 problems, getting mad and getting unmad".

Once you understand Furry, he is a great guy actually.  I had my run ins with him early, but came to respect his attention to detail and keeping me honest.  To some, it may be a niggler and nag - and he can be.  But most of the time, he is not taking on the whole ball of wax, just taking issues with aspects of the position.  And will debate them to the end.

I like FC's debating style too. Thanks for all comments and wishes.

In the matter of that "Smoking" blog it was not a case of being bested, pushed into a corner or, for that matter, being upset about the persistent questioning and demand for answers by FC. I'll give him his due. He is meticulous and consistent.

No, what infuriated me was a personal remark : "However I do notice that you describe yourself, on another of your threads,as a Director of a prestigious school. I can only feel sorry for its staff and students, having such an anti- education, inverted snob in a position of responsibility."

This questioning of my integrity was personal and regrettably off debate. I can take all the punches and don't cry but I was livid. Personal criticism on blogs are tolerated by mice, not men. Thus this blog. And now I really am "off air".

Let me just say that it is incredibly rude and ill-mannered to continue baiting a blogger on his own blog, especially after he has closed a thread. Whether I am right or wrong does not matter. What you are doing is contrary to Joeuser's rules and contrary to blog etiquette anywhere.

Why don't you take your incredibly arrogant attitude, your university halo and your self-opiniated grin to another JU place.
