Here is Ashley Grace enjoying the beach at our cottage.  I can't believe she will be a year old in just a couple of weeks!  Time flies when you're having fun and she sure has provided us with a lot of fun.

right no, I am watching Maddie freezing while wading in the water.  It's not even 70 out yet, but she insisted on it.  Not me, I'll wait until it gets warmer out!

Yeah, she kept tasting the sand even though she didn't like it. She kept trying to taste stones and shells too

Thanks. It's cute, keeps her blonde haired head from scorching and helps keep sand out of her hair. She seems to enjoy dumping handfuls of sand on her own head.

Nope, no swimmer's itch, but Maddie got burned.  She spent ALL day in the water.  We put sunscreen on her every hour, but she still burned due to the sky being completely clear all day long and her whiter than white skin having no defense (gee, I wonder which parent she got that from, huh?).  She had fun, though, even though she got burned.  Abbie was out with her the whole time but just ended up tanning like crazy.  I wish Maddie could tan like that!
