pirates are stupid

the piarates fly past my def in orbit arround my planet fly past my planet and jusp 3 times b4 trying to even bomb my planet and by the time they get there they have like 1 ship left. This is just stupid. also the ai jump in then turn round and jump back then 5 seconds later they do it again and this continues till the ship is killed.

not only is this common pirate behavior, but the pirates are an easy way to win the game, if you can last long enough. just pump up the bounties on all of the other players, and let them do the work for you. you don't even have to leave your home system, just build defenses good enough to sit there and wait everyone else out.

Pirates traveling through your systems may not attack you, this is not because their dumb. But more because either the bounty on you is too low, or engaging your ships will result in their defeat.

yes but every time this has happened they have gone straight to one of my planets with little defensis cos its behind my home planet and no need for defensis but there they go anyway every time and they neaver go through my system to get to another bad guy system
