"Orbiting planets" ???

whats with the tab on the empire window that says "show orbiting planets"

I spent five minutes turning it on off, nothing happened.
waited to gather more info about the universe... nothing happened


is this some artifact of a previously removed concept? I dont remember it from beta1. which brings up the second possibility:
will there be orbiting planets in the future? (I could swear the idea was scrapped, although I seriously like the idea of a planet that would change position over time)

That or it's supposed to be 'orbited planets'--ones with things in orbit, I'd think. Actual moving planets were indeed scrapped permanently long ago AFAIK.

thats interesting, but there isnt anything orbited that I know of, and why would you remove a planet from the list simply because it has something orbiting it? what function would that serve...
although running on that tanget theory: what would orbiting items have to do with gameplay. are moons going to be included?

we need someone from ironclad down here.

yeah, which is why the possible inclusion of that idea perked my interest.
its also why I noted that I didnt remember it from beta1, it was scrapped long before it was released.

well, it in fact says "orbiting planets" and toggling it does absolutely nothing.

ok I am blind, I looked before I headed into work, where the heck is this button

talking about orbiting ... I modded the gauss cannons to orbit, sadly it didn't work out as i had hoped and they started spinning sideways...
