The cottage, part 4

Nearly done

The cottage isn't done yet but it's getting close. Here's some recent pictures.

From the beech looking back.

From the deck (you can see the lake in the background).

Fancy bathtub. (faucets not on yet)

It has about 55 feet of sandy beach that goes out quite a ways. It's pretty prime (I think anyway).

The beach itself needs to be cleaned up (in case you've ever wanted to know what a "natural" beach looks like, this is what it looks like). The black tarp is temporary to keep debris from house construction from going out into the lake.

Haha. Yea, I wish it would hurry up and be done! If you're ever in Michigan, drop me an email and if we're up there, feel free to stop by.

That really looks good Draginol. Idylic (sp) spot and all. Will you be getting a boat for the lake?

Very nice.  Around here, water front, even in the podunks, go for a big bit of change!  But then you do get the beach at your door.

But be forewarned!  Do not build on the beach on a tidal river.  They dont call it a tidal surge with a Hurricane for nothing!  A friend had a house about 60 miles from the ocean, on a river.  But the river was tidal, and Isabel flooded her house!

That is really beautiful, both the cottage and scenery.
