I still need to work with Pat to get the galaxy map updating consistantly. RIght now its working with data from last Thursday, so alot of the newer empires arn't listed. Starting tomorrow we'll be sure to have the galaxy doing daly updates.

Got a problem. I was able to submit my 10 point for the Dixie Wanderers, then update that to a 14 point. Since then I have been able to delay the cultural victory to get up to 41 points on that game. However now it won't update. This was around the time my email address had been changed to one with a typo when Support was updating my name, but now I don't know what the email address on the Metaverse account is, so that I can set that on the submission page. Is the Metaverse no longer updating a game's score, or is my email address confusion to blame? The Metaverse account should list [email protected], and if it doesn't, would someone be kind enough to update it to that for me? Thanks!

The MetaMap looks great. My Empire is showing up fine, as are 8 others. The #1 Ranked Empire is not showing up, however (GammaSquad).

kim: Current metaverse submissions are a one-shot-deal...once youve submitted a score from a game, no more scores will be accepted. This'll make players think twice before hitting that submit button - "If I go back and redo x, could I get a higher score?"

DonD: Thanks It took alot longer than expected, but I think it'll spice up the competition between empires. We fixed a bug where the update code wiped the #1st place player off the map (an obvious problem), but now it's done and live (you can see it in metaverse>galactic map)! Enjoy!

With potentially hundreds of empires I would really, really like to see a LOT more than just the top 10 empires. Make a BIG scrolling map showing most of the empires and, perhaps, a smaller "strategic map" with just the largest 30 or 40.

One shot now, got it! Thank you. Having seen it update once, I wasn't sure. Especially with the email address. Starting a new game with cultural victory disabled, and will see if it submits then. If you don't hear from me about it, consider it a success and me too addicted to playing to comment!

A funny thing happened to the Metaverse Empire Map. This morning, the GoneGold Empire occupied the far left side of the map. This evening, when I checked it again, my empire has zapped over the the mid-right side.

I suppose it may be a result of the GammaSquad being added to the map.

Otherwise, I'd assumed the empire would be in a static location, and just grow dynamically as points accrued, seemingly gobbling up the smaller empires (or getting nibble away at, as the case may be).

This morning we were doing some last minute update adjustments, some that required a total recreation of the metamap. Form this point on empires will expand from their central pt.

Yep, updates the Metaverse just fine once submitted after any win, but only once per game! Perfect! BoogieBac, thanks again for the heads up! Working perfectly aside from 2 crashes to desktop. Pressed submit on smart exception, hope it did.

No it would not be cool to subtract from a stranger... unless he agrees to it.
But it would be cool if you could see the empires flag's in the listing below the map (or even ON the map!
