Is this for real? This pig is huge. I have never seen a pig this size,
Jamison Stone, aged 11, poses with a wild pig he killed near Delta, Alabama in the U.S. Stone's father, Melynne, says the hog weighed a staggering 1,051 pounds and measured 9-feet-4 from the tip of its' snout to the base of its' tail.

Wild Pigs don’t get this big do they? There has to be something weird going on surely? Has someone been messing with nature and genetics etc?

This is "Hogzilla", a huge wild hog shot in south Georgia. These things roam the woods of my part of the country. I actually had a church member who kept one of these within a fence on his property, and fed it leftovers. He intended to eat it, but it became a family pet. "Juniper" was her name. The hog, that is.

Hogzilla, has been shown to be a hoax, I saw the show about it on the discovery channel. They dug the grave up where the remains were buried and showed that he was indeed a large wild hog, but no where near the claims made by the man that shot him. The photos were done by trick photography, with the body of ho9g in foreground and the Hunter in background far way, but the camera angled so to made it appear he was right behind the hog.

No not blowing it, that is the reason I put it up was to check how real it actually is, there is always someone out there that knows the real story.

Thanks for the info on the Hogzilla story how about the pig the boy shot though, is that for real?

I have been looking at all the news clips on the net and they all mention the "hogzilla" find by National Geographic but not the fact that it turned out to be a hoax, but only that the size was exaggerated by 200lbs? Where does the truth start and where does it end?

Hogzilla originally was thought to weigh 1,000 pounds and measure 12 feet long. National Geographic experts who unearthed its remains believe the animal actually weighed about 800 pounds and was 8 feet long.

This one is for real, the Kid shot it 8 times with a .500 pistol, trsacked it for 3 hours and then gave it the coup de grace. just short of 10 ft long, 11" from eyes to tip of the snout! Huge! The Top picture is of a std size feral hog, The Bow might give you an idea since the young man had to shoot the latest one 9 times. (With an EXTREMELY powerful handgun)
