My Truck Is Fixed

Well, at least I hope it is. The garage called and said that the truck is ready to pick up. As I've already paid for another night in the hotel I'll go get it in the morning.

The customer in MI is expecting me at 7:00 am on Monday. As it's only about 14 hours from here that shouldn't present much of a problem assuming that the truck is actually fixed.

I walked over to the Chinese restaurant up the street for dinner. It wasn't half bad. I am now settled back into my room with a six pack, my laptop, my knitting, and the idiot box. I'll just chill out here for tonight so that I can be ready to go tomorrow morning.

I really hope the truck is back in good working order now. I really need to get some miles run and make some money. This past few weeks has left me a bit on the short of cash side and bills are coming due again. I'm hoping to get some good trips in over the next few weeks so I can finally get caught up and get some money put back once again. It seems like lately I can't get back ahead of things for crap happening to set me back again.

I hear ya, brother. And I noticed on the way home from work that gas is at $3.35 a gallon...

Yeah gas prices are really getting out of hand. I don't see how people can afford to keep driving.

I have 8 miles to go to work, 8 miles home.. and I stop on way home to get what I need. I rack up about 70 miles a week. I drive 4 days a week unless there is really a major reason I should go somewhere. how in the world is everyone affording to drive so freaking much. Good luck to ya Mason.. it seems you & I have been trading bad luck all spring.. lets stop and just have some good luck ok?

I'm lucky. I have 2 1/2 mile to work and my wife has less than a mile. Plus, when I'm at work I have the use of a car with gas if I need to sneak out and run any errands -work related or personal. And I also live about five blocks from the grocery store so I just walk there a lot. Heh, my bro-in-law has to drive about 60 miles a day round trip to his job in the D/FW area. That would really suck.

And that's the real pity, being held hostage by oil.

Thanks. So far so good. I've made it almost 200 miles so far without having to stop and add water so maybe the damn thing is really fixed this time.
