So is beta2 put back too?

quick question

I know the Release Date has been put back to 2008 , which only means a much better game , but im hoping to join the Beta 2 since i like multiplayer. Are there any plans for that to be moved back

In mid-June, everyone can look forward to the Beta 2 release of Sins. Beta 2 will remain TEC only and the focus will be on single-player gameplay dynamics....... This extended release schedule means there will be two additional betas after Beta 2 that will focus on multiplayer content.

no, when you pro-order you will need to pay, and when beta2 arrives you will get charged and you get a key.
But if you want to join now, you should contact [email protected]

now... a few questions about the closed beta

one: will it be the full version
two: will I have to agree to (sign...?) an NDA?
three: how many people are you accepting?

No NDAs.

We only require that users pre-order the game to have access.  It's our way of being able to make sure feedback is coming from people who would buy this type of game in the first place.

The beta is the full beta.

@Frog

Just making sure that ...is your reply conformation that all subsequent betas will follow the beta 1 testing and access guidelines?

e.g.
-All current beta testers will have access to all future betas.
-No closed or partially closed betas are planned
-Does "[this] is the full beta" simply reiterate that all beta testers will continue to have uniform access to future build releases and game elements?

What do you mean? If we contact Stardock we can join the beta now instead of waiting till June?

The only way to get into Beta 1 is to pre-order the game using tokens as a TotalGaming.net member, as token purchases are charged immediately.

If you don't want to go that route, you will need to wait until Beta 2 in June. No non-token pre-orders will be charged before then.

If you're in the beta, you get access to all of them.

So by purchasing with tokens I can still get into Beta 1 and start playing now?

So now I'm lost. I was under the impression that in the future there is going to be a private test group for the full version beta (Hence Schem's post) with the selection of the participants chosen from the contributing members of the community. Have things changed or are we on different pages???

I guess you didn't read the rules....

#1 - The first rule of the group testing the super secret beta is, you do not talk about the group testing the super secret beta.

#2 - The second rule of the group testing the super secret beta is, you DO NOT talk about the group testing the super secret beta.

#3 - If someone says stop, goes limp, taps out, you are denied access to the beta and you do NOT get a refund.

#4 - Ten players MAX.

#5 - Multiple battles at a time are OK.

#6 - No macros, no whining, no cheating.

#7 - Battles will go on as long as they have to.

#8 - If this is your first post on the forum, you WILL be thread hijacked.

no, there is a FULL CLOSED beta planned for dedicated inputers of the first (few?) beta(s).

When we get into the gamma phase we sometimes go with a smaller group. But the betas are for the full group.
