Courses for for next semester.

Yay...more learning. :/

So at the asscrack of dawn I scrambled to register classes before I could get shut out of everything. Unfortunately, I didn't get my Spanish or Statistics classes before they filled to the brim...well, there were a few open but at the most inconvenient times. I guess I'll take'em in the spring or something.

Anywho, here's what I managed to snag:

CHM 241- Organic Chemistry
CHM 244- Organic Chemistry Lab
GEO 101- Global Forces, Local Diversity
GER 231- Folk & Literary Fairy Tales
REL 101- Varieties Religious Expression
ZOO 204- Fundamentals of Ecology

17 Credit Hours

I don't think that's too bad...except I have that organic chem lecture MWF at 8AM...it was the only time slot I could get...ah well, no more sleeping in everyday. Tuesdays and Thursdays are still sleep in days...fairy tale class doesn't start until 11 on those days. :)

Where's your math? oh, that is right, you are done.

As for the 8AMs, just thin kof those as work prep classes.

Well, I still need stats which is the only "real" math class left. I have physics classes to take as well, but that counts as science.

My schedule is looking like I'm trying to wrap things up here . . .

HIST 4260 History of Mexico
SPAN 4830 Quijote
ENG 2010 Intermediate Writing (stupid remedial gen-ed requirement!)
SPAN 3550 Culture and Civilization of Latin America
SPAN 3690 19th Century - The Latin American Novel
ZOO 1010 Animal Biology (Another gen-ed dummy class)

I can't wait until I'm done with the undergrad . . . and then it's on to grad school, followed by more grad school, and then, maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to actually WORK!

Physics is fun! You will love it.

God, I really do have a reputation, don't I? Oh well. Since I was going to ask if you would post the reading list for your fairy tale class once you get it, I suppose my reputation is deserved.

So... will you post the reading list for your fairy tale class?

I don't know what my schedule will be next fall since I haven't gotten my information from U of A. I'm not too worried about it though, because graduate classes don't typically get too full too fast.

Good luck with the Organic Chem stuff. My best friend was a Biology major, and just watching her study that stuff gave me a headache. Anyone who can do that stuff impresses me.

I was wondering about that.  It has a GER in front of it.  I wonder if it is German based?

That would be even better! I'm trying to learn German.

Ok, I'm getting a little too excited about a class I don't even get to take.

Yeah, I was wondering that too. Wondering if Iron Hans was on the list. That's one of my favorite ones. It's a coming-of-age tale that's kind of been adopted by mens movements. The whole folk/myth-psychology interplay is a fascinating subject. Sounds like an interesting list all in all. Enjoy!

Sure thing...but that probably won't be until next fall before they give me all the details...unless the prof decides to be awesome and post it online or mail it out.

Then prepare to be impressed. I took it in high school and was pretty good with it, aced it actually. I aced my other chem classes in high school as well...however, I tend to have Bs and Cs here. It's rigorous stuff in college...but I think I'll do fine...I've adapted to the whole studying thing.

Yep, it's a German class...as long as I don't have to read it in German I'll be fine. (I'm pretty sure it's all in English, though...I don't speak a bit of German at all) I think we're covering a lot of the Grimm Fairy tales and stuff.

I'll be around. Just title the article "Because SHE is a dork and wants to know these things..."

I took AP chem in High School and got A's in it... but I had to study my butt off. I'm not bad at math and science... I just don't like it and therefore could never study it. My favorite part of Astronomy class was when we learned about the constellations... and I already knew them, and the stories that went along with each of them.

I wish we had AP chem, then maybe I could skip some of these. My class was Honors Organic Chemistry...and it was on a 5.0 point scale. I also took astronomy in high school and had to do a mini presentation on a constellation...I think it was the Hydra constellation.

I detest the French language...too many letters, not enough sounds...and what's with apostrophes in the middle of words. Hors'd'oeuvre?...come on...they just threw letters in there and made it up.

Actually, that is where English got its contractions from.

Yeah...but contractions are optional.
