I have C&C and frankly got bored with it within five hours. I simply don't feel that "one more turn" passion for it. Whereas with Sins, even in its current state, I have that feeling. I dont know why this is so given the C&C is a great game technically. I'm simply not caught up in the story I guess.

It feels like a post apocalyptic WarCraft to me. I guess I'm more into the planning side of things over the combat orientation elements of a title. With a title like Sins I can feel the empire dimension and it is simply not their for me with C&C.

1Spartan, did you play any of the other CnC games? Its a continuation of the story, sorta....

Its already better than supreme commander. In one supreme commander level i just made 30ish factories and set their exit point inside the enemy base, then i just set them each to auto build. Came back 2 hours later and I had won.

Not to mention the fact that multiplayer games with 4+ players run slow on quad core computers with $1000 video cards.

I find Supreme Commander dull, plus if you don't know what your doing by the time you have a good base of ops set up in multiplayer. Your enemies already have a few 1000 units.

Now spartan is right about sins, you can be playing and not realize how much time has passed. Any game that does that and continues to amaze you will be a game of the year.

@lord - yep sure did. Do you remember the sandbag wall tactic?

I'm an old school gamer. Shoot my specialization in grad school was global modeling. It is basically computer simulation design and game theory combined.

@lock - thanks for the support. If they allow custom soundtracks and develop most of the stuff being suggested by those of us on the micro side of the house, then the hours of productive real life activity that will lost for the average gamer will be staggering to say the least.

Supcom and Cnc3 both suck for different reasons. But both are still amazing games. Its good to see Sins up there with them ,as for me , these are my top3 rts for 2007.

good thing that sins made it to number 3 in that list --> Free publicity.

Yeah if it was not for that gamespot article I would have almost missed the game entirely. I check three gaming sites every morning at work and read articles and for some reason this slipped under the radar. When I looked at the gamespot article and saw Stardock up there I about wet myself with excitement. Now here I am about to get into the beta. Yea!!!
