Stardock Central doesnt know the game is installed

I just finished d/l the 84.5 meg file but at the end of the install there was a kernal32.dll error and Stardock closed. The game is installed and I can play it :notsure:

BatBird,

If there is a gc1.xml in your program files\stardock\sdcentral\installed directory you should be able to just click install again on GalCiv without having it to redownload the files. Doing that will SDC will realize that Galciv is installed and then set the necessary registry keys so SDC remembers that it is installed.

I had a similar experience after upgrading Stardock Central. Says that multimidea file is missing. However, I could still play the game with cut scenes. I am in the process of redownloading the files. :notsure:

Bumping this because I have exactly the same issue (using SCentral 0.99c.147).

Badly I haven't the gc1.xml file thus SC wants to start all over the DL while it is installed and I can play.

Here is part of the gc1.log file (the end actually) :

Downloading: C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\temp\Base\Data\UP_Issues\SBAssistAllies01.UPISSU_
Result: Success
Downloading: C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\temp\Base\Data\UP_Issues\SBAssistAllies02.UPISSU_
Result: Success
Downloading: C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\temp\Base\Data\UP_Issues\StarbaseTax01.UPISSU_
Installation aborted (cancelled)

Any chance we could get that gc1.xml to fix the issue or it is much more complicated ?

Well I relaunched SC, then let it download the full 84 Mo again and it was successfully installed in the end. Strange. I'm off to DL the media file now.
