Thunderstorms are So Good

Ever since I was young, I've loved storms. Any kind of danger or edge has given me excitement, an adreniline rush, one might say. Not that thunderstorms are dangerous, but I suppose they're somewhat edgy.

I love laying in my bed hearing the rain hit the tin roof. My room lights up as God momentarily illuminates the earth. Moments later a beautiful crashing sound is heard. Next to horses hooves on the pavement, thunder and rain are the most beautiful of all sounds.

Whenever I'm outside and am truly relishing the moment, I realize how much God cares about me. Sure, I've always known that, but when you see veins of lighting flying through the sky, and bald eagles soaring over head, you know that God is so good, and must truly love us, to provide us with these blessings.

We haven't had a nice thunderstorm in a while, but last night we did. It was spectacular. I'll go as far as to say that I like them better than Fourth of July fireworks. Why do we take for granted the little, average things that can be so wonderful if we have the right mindset?

Maybe you should try skydiving during a thunderstorm, that would be edgy and dangerous at the same time. j/k I like going to sleep at night to thunderstorms it's like a metradome that lulls me to sleep.

OMG! You're like the only other person that I know that enjoys thunderstorms. I myself also like to lay in my room at night and just listen to all of the sounds. Like the rain trickling down the spouting, and the light growl of thunder. Usually if they're at night I can fall asleep to them peacefully. This actually helps me go to sleep sometimes. Why do we take things like this for granted? I don't have the slightest clue. I think of it as a way for God to show you something. That something is what i don't know, but maybe one day will figure it out. When I was little I always used to think of the rain as little angels watering there garden. I thought of the thunder picturing God bowling and getting a strike everytime. The lightining, well I really never had anything to describe it. I guess you could say that it is a way of showing God's love.
